When you add a stop to your route the app asks you how you want to add it: “smart”, as first, as last stop or into a section.
When you select “smart” the app find the shortest distance between a stop of the route and the selected place and adds it to the route previous or next to the closest stop depending of your travel direction.
Limitations:
- if you plan a round trip the app has problems to estimate if you want to add the stop to the outward or inward journey
- if you travel in changing directions (north, south, east, west) the app has problems to understand if the stop should be added previous or next of the closest stop
- if you want to add the stop at a custom position the app cannot know
